Horta escolar: cenário pedagógico para o ensino de ciências naturais

This research aimed at school gardens as educational Settings for the teaching of natural sciences with students of tenth grade of the Enrique Olaya Herrera school (Neiva, Huila). To this end, we worked from the approach of multiple intelligence naturalist, with instruments such as semi-structured interviews, workshops and educational outlets, as well as work in the field for the construction of the school garden. For the institution, conducting the research allowed the school garden to be linked to the PRAE and the curriculum design of the biology course. In addition, the students recognized the importance of food sovereignty, agricultural production, teamwork, responsibility, the sense of belonging for what they have done, the foundation of curiosity in the student and encouraged the personal challenges to which they were exposed. In conclusion, choosing the school garden as a didactic and learning strategy was one of the successful learning methods for both teachers and students. Teamwork was encouraged, curricular content was linked, and new class scenarios were generated.
